What we believe

We believe in historic, orthodox Christianity and adhere to such statements of faith as the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed.

We believe God is the centre of the universe and beyond—and controls whatever comes to pass.

We believe the Gospel is the good news of God’s saving grace towards sinners through Jesus Christ. Jesus, the eternal son of God, took on human nature, lived a sinless life, and died a substitutionary death for sinners.

We believe that salvation is a free gift that comes only by God’s sovereign grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Anyone who turns from their sin and trusts in Jesus Christ and His death on their behalf receives forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life.

We believe the Christian faith should apply to all of life.

We believe the Bible is the authoritative Word of God, fully inspired and without error.

We are optimistic for the future, with strong faith in God’s purposes for civilisation.

We believe God has equipped us for victory.

We believe in the triumph of the Lord Jesus Christ in every sphere of human life and endeavour.

We believe in the universal church, composed of genuine followers of Christ, which exists to worship, serve, and glorify God.

If you have any questions about our beliefs please contact us for further information.

COVID-19 Status

Updated 8 July 2021

We are currently conducting worship services under the ACT Government’s one-person-per-2-square-metre rule, which generally allows the whole congregation to participate in the main auditorium. A condition of entry is that members and visitors log their attendance using the ‘Check in CBR’ app or manually on our sign-in sheet. Restrictions remain around food service and seating distancing, but we welcome all who wish to attend.

We encourage you to continue connecting with one another as much as possible outside of church as members of the Body of Christ. For more information or assistance at any time please phone the church office on 02 6223 2746.
